Professional statement

Cindy Hiester is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Health Coach (HCI-CHC) in Texas. She sees in person clients living near Fort Worth and any virtual clients throughout the state. Cindy is a calm, patient presence for her adolescent and adult clients who primarily suffer from anxiety, depression, adhd, and bipolar disorder. Most of her clients come seeking relief from their symptoms which are often keeping them stuck in thought and behavior patterns and negatively affecting their work, relationships, and overall life satisfaction. Through their work together, Cindy helps her clients identify their negative patterns and helps empower them to create the changes they're looking for in their lives. Cindy often tells her clients, "Once you know how to change these patterns, you never have to suffer again!

In sessions, Cindy establishes trust by listening actively, questioning for clarification, and offering unconditional positive regard (cr. Carl Rogers) to her clients. Trust is the foundation for successful therapy, and this is of utmost importance to Cindy. Through each session, Cindy begins to help the client identify patterns of thinking and behavior that create and maintain problems in their life. Alongside identifying the obstacles, she looks for opportunities to educate the client on ways to successfully begin the process of removing them. From the first session, her client’s often feel tremendous relief which increases as sessions continue.

Message to clients

Having been an educator in my first career, then going back to school to pursue a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I have years of experiences, including working in a Behavior Health Hospital specializing in group therapy, that set me apart as an expert in my two main specializations: anxiety and couples therapy. I also brings with me into the counseling session, past personal experience in dealing with anxiety, a longterm marriage, and years of raising 3 children who have all successfully developed into healthy and happy young adults. And all these experiences came with a healthy dose of struggle, pain, and deep disappointment. I am truly able to have compassion for your suffering.

I welcome you to call or text me for a 15 minute free consultation. See if the connection is there because you don’t want to wait another minute to get relief. Feeling better really is possible!
