Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, LMFTA Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsColleen Halloran is a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate located in Austin, TX. Colleen helps young adults and adults to improve their mental health. She offers both individual and couples sessions and generally works with clients who experience high levels of anxiety, stress, or trauma. They may face major changes in their lives, whether that’s in their families, relationships, or at work. Colleen specializes in supporting those who feel stuck in their current lives and seek ways to break out of their routines.
Colleen practices a therapy modality called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. In EMDR, clients leverage their brain’s regular functions to facilitate healing, which is particularly effective for those with trauma experiences. Colleen also utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches to provide clients with tangible strategies to change their outlook on life. She is a compassionate, kind therapist who listens with empathy. She provides individualized mental health services, creating a treatment plan that aligns closely with each client’s unique goals.
Colleen earned a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. She has previous experience working with couples and families, and enjoys empowering her clients to create new healthy patterns in their daily lives.
