Professional statement

Conner Romanowsky is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of New Jersey. Conner graduated from the Rutgers School of Social Work with her Masters of Social Work in 2018 after interning at Long Branch High School in Long Branch, NJ and Corner House Behavioral Health in Princeton, NJ. After graduation, Conner started at New Brunswick Counseling Center, an MAT clinic in New Brunswick, NJ, working with those struggling with opiate addictions and other co-occurring issues. In 2019, Conner returned to her former internship, Corner House Behavioral Health, this time as a full time clinician, again working with people struggling with addiction and working towards lifetime substance use recovery. In 2021, Conner followed her dream to work for the Veterans Administration as a Readjustment Counselor for military veterans in Lakewood, NJ. In 2022, Conner established her private practice, The Somatic Healing and Wellness Center of New Jersey, where women can receive kind, compassionate care through various modalities of healing such as psychotherapy, meditation, and sound healing. Currently, there are openings for telehealth, and she is not yet seeing clients in person.

Message to clients

In my practice, I work with women who want to reconnect with their mind and body and bring peace and meaning back to into their life. My therapeutic style is safe, caring, and fun. When you first arrive, we work together to build a strong rapport, while we address both your immediate concerns as well as your overall reasons for coming to therapy. In session, we focus on somatic exercises that include breathing and stretching to use in day-to-day life that will help you to tune-in and bring awareness to your body. Too often, we are expected to carry on with our lives and ignore our thoughts and feelings and the messages our body sends us. In our work together, we come back to the body and notice these subtle, yet powerful messages. You learn to re-integrate these messages, and your life experiences, back into your body, so that you can make sense of your reality and truly honor what it means for you to live a self-directed life that is authentic and aligned with who you are. If this resonates with you, feel free to reach out to me to start your healing journey. I look forward to meeting with you.
