Crystal Hill LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Louisiana. Her education includes a master's in social work from Capella University in 2019 and a bachelor's in social work from Northwestern State University in 2012. Crystal has been in practices for over 10 years as a social worker. She has worked in adult inpatient psychiatric units, inpatient and outpatient substance use treatment, and now her focus is on healing myriad of issues including anxiety, depression, grief/loss, self-confidence, women’s issues, harmful childhood experiences or other disturbing life experiences.

Crystal specializes in treating trauma-related issues and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) using Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to process emotions tied to negative events. Crystal uses EMDR to help her clients process and heal from events or situations that bring them to therapy. Additionally, Crystal uses Cognitive Behavioral therapy to help her clients change negative self-talk that fuels negative emotions and worsens low self-esteem and low self-confidence.

Crystal creates a safe space for her clients to be themselves and have the security of knowing they will be listened to, heard, and respected as a person. She uses empathy compassion, to encourage clients to take charge of their own life.

Message to clients

Are intense feelings of anxiety, anger, or sadness affecting your life? Do you feel like you need help, but unsure of where to start? You are not alone. This is a natural stress response caused by upsetting events in our past. Upsetting situations can wreak havoc on our sleep, and eating patterns, our relationships with others. It makes us sensitive to our environment by linking past events with our current environment. This link causes intense anxiety, fears, and strains our professional and personal relationships. We attempt to reduce the intensity of these fears by isolating ourselves and avoiding stressful situations which prevent us from healing.

With support we can learn ways to cope with intense feelings. Working with a therapist that is supportive, caring, compassionate, is vital to our success in healing. Once we begin healing, we discover that we do not have to survive life and we can then begin living a rewarding life.
