Professional statement

Therapy can be a space for personal development and healing. Each one of us has our own unique history and growth process. My goal is to support your overall mental, emotional, and relational health. I work with a broad range of life experiences including anxiety, depression, trauma, autism, ADHD, grief, and life transitions. I also specialize in working with the following experiences: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD); an intrusive and loud inner critical voice; and trauma induced dissociation, disembodiment, panic, and fear. Together, we move forward into a space of growth, development, and healing.

Here are some of the tools I use to help: Somatic Therapy provides different ways to process feelings in our bodies. Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy cultivates a heightened awareness of thoughts and feelings, allowing us to identify and engage with them. Behavioral Therapy helps reshape unhealthy behavior patterns connected to thoughts and feelings.

I believe that the client-therapist connection is the most important aspect of therapy. It is vital that you feel safe, seen, and supported. Our sessions together focus on your goals and needs, in an environment centered in compassion, non-judgment, and deep listening. Please reach out if you have any questions, and I look forward to meeting with you.

My sessions are all online currently. While I am not paneled with any insurance at this time, I do offer a sliding payment scale. Please contact me with any questions or if you need a reduced fee to access care. I endeavor not to make cost a barrier to access, and am flexible with my fee. I look forward to meeting with you.

Message to clients

I believe at the core of our collective human experience is a shared longing for safety, happiness, and loving-connection. Life's intricate tapestry, woven by environments, families, communities, social structures, and our internal sense of self, may not always provide a meaningful connection to these fundamental needs. Many of us carry the weight of trauma resulting from a profound lack of these essential elements for a healthy sense of self. In the face of life's suffering there emerges a critical need to learn the skills of cultivating safety, happiness, loving-connection from within ourselves.

I also believe that all individuals possess the ability to heal themselves. That became my life's path; learning to connect with my own natural healing systems and healing through them. That belief, and my Masters' degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Social Sciences in Environment and Community, have led me to create Oregon Compassion Therapy. My core passion is guiding people through their own healing journey.

These beliefs arise from my own life's experiences, including three years of extensive and immersive training as a meditation teacher. I have been practicing meditation for 25 years, and teaching for over 8 years.

Don't suffer alone any longer. I'm here to help.
