Professional statement

Dorlee Michaeli is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with an MBA in New York City who specializes in helping high achievers with low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma or difficulties in navigating career/life transitions.

While Dorlee’s therapeutic approach is rooted in psychoanalytic therapy, she also employs Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). EMDR is particularly effective in helping address painful experiences that often manifest in bodily symptoms, as well as facilitating progress in areas a client may feel stuck. She is passionate about helping clients feel better about themselves and achieve their desired goals.

Message to clients

Are you feeling stuck in your personal or professional life? You may have a specific problem that you want help resolving, or something just feels off to you in some way. Perhaps you are continually stressed, always feeling you never do (or are) enough. Or you may be in the midst of a career/life transition and need support to navigate it effectively.

Psychoanalytically trained and EMDR certified, I can help you address your specific issues. It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help. My approach is warm, non-judgmental and collaborative. Our sessions will start where you feel comfortable and at a pace that feels right for you.

I believe you are the expert on your life. My role is to accompany you in an exploration of your thoughts, feelings and relationships so as to help you be your most authentic self.
