Evan Farrell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor that works via telehealth with clients located anywhere in the state of New Jersey. He works with individual adults of all ages, many of which come in to address problems related to: addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship issues, communication, behavioral issues. Evan is particularly passionate about serving members of the BIPOC community, members of LGBQT+ community, recently immigrated individuals, and people with addiction related issues. He has additional specialized trainings in the areas of addiction related disorders, process disorders (such as gambling, sex, food, etc.), as well as a range of mood and personality disorders.
Evan utilizes a dual approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Psychoanalysis, with additional holistic approaches that include a number of mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques that can be implemented into any client’s treatment plan, such as: breathing exercises, grounding techniques, exploration of creativity and physical wellness, and regularity in daily schedule.
Evan received his Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University in 2018, and began working at Integrity House, a non-profit substance abuse counseling agency. He worked there for 3 years in the individual and group settings, at both the outpatient and inpatient levels of care. He left in 2022 to pursue the path of private teletherapy, working on the online teletherapy platform Betterhelp for one year. In 2023, he created his own telehealth counseling company and became approved for in-network care with multiple insurance companies. Outside of work, Evan enjoys spending time in nature, traveling, playing guitar and video games, and eating home-cooked meals with friends.
