Fabian Escobedo is a Bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California. Fabian specializes in working with people who experienced trauma, whether it was a single event or years of the most complex traumatic events, whether if it just happened yesterday or 30 years ago. Currently, he works as a Faculty therapist at San Diego State University providing individual and group therapy to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as formerly foster youth or youth who have been ward of the court, and/or experiencing homelessness. In addition, Fabian has worked with survivors of sex trafficking, commercially sexually exploited children, and labor tracking, through a humanistic, holistic, trauma-informed care approach. Fabian is well versed and experienced in multiple therapy techniques and interventions that have significant evidence in the healing of trauma. For example, he's fully trained in the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Fabian offers warmth and focuses on building trust using a culturally-informed lens and takes a "no taboo" approach, offering clients the opportunity to be their true, unfiltered, authentic versions of themselves to fully heal in therapy.
