Professional statement

Felicia Kellen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Belle Plaine, MN. She enjoys bringing a holistic approach to health and well-being, bringing together the mind and body to help people of all ages to find positive mental health. Many of Felicia’s younger clients become overwhelmed by the changes happening in their lives, whether that’s starting a new school or graduating and joining the workforce. Other clients seek ways to improve their relationships, including with their partners or their children. Felicia’s clients feel unbalanced in their lives, like something is missing.

Felicia, as a certified yoga instructor, enjoys harnessing clients’ attention through breathwork and mindfulness practices. She engages clients with polyvagal theory, teaching them about the strong connection between their emotions and their physical sensations. This includes any feelings that get stuck in the body, as the body naturally responds to trauma. Clients learn how to reflect on how they’re feeling and explore how their emotions connect to past experiences or relationships. Felicia utilizes psychodynamic approaches as well as narrative therapy to help clients learn more about themselves and what it looks like for them to be happy.

Felicia is a nonjudgmental, open therapist who is dedicated to a collaborative relationship with her clients. She seeks client feedback on how therapy is going and adjusts based on this feedback, letting the client lead their own mental health journey.
