Professional statement

Dr. Hadar Schwartz is a New York & New Jersey Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She specializes in anxiety, couples counseling, depression, college and graduate student mental health, and life transitions. She has particular interest and expertise in working with individuals in emergency medicine and with those who have experienced interpersonal trauma, including sexual assault and harassment.

In her work with individuals, Dr. Schwartz thoughtfully and compassionately engages with individuals as they wrestle with self-doubt, painful experiences, and confusion about identity. She understands the value of the therapeutic relationship in helping individuals build more meaningful, fulfilling, and genuine connections with themselves, with others, and with their work.

As an EFT-trained couples therapist, Dr. Schwartz employs these same techniques in her work with couples. She provides the space for open, honest, and responsive interactions between partners. Dr. Schwartz’s style is warm, authentic, and collaborative. She aims to help individuals gain greater self-awareness and self-compassion, empowering them to understand their relational needs and gain the tools to meet them. She looks forward to meeting you.
