Professional statement

Heather is a multicultural client-centered therapist in the San Gabriel Valley. She tailors her therapeutic approach based on individual need, personality, and cultural background. Many of Heather’s clients come in to address depression, anxiety, trauma, and perfectionism. Heather works with adults and couples. She has worked with many racial, socioeconomic, and LGBTQIA+ backgrounds. She also loves working with creatives that are open to seeing the world in fun and imaginative ways.

Heather uses CBT, Psychodynamic, mindfulness, and holistic approaches, in which we use the therapeutic relationship to build connection, understand thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that isn't work and develop healthier ways to view self and world. In session, Heather helps clients understand the relationship between thoughts and emotions. This approach supports clients to feel more relaxed, present, and able to make decisions that are more related to their wants and needs.

Heather's style is warm, non-judgmental, and goal-oriented. When clients first start therapy, she will learn and understand client's history, establish a comfortable connection where they feel safe and heard. She wants to help you find who you are in this world. She believes that you have the power to figure out your wants, needs, and desires so she will walk by your side, support, and guide you to the best version of you.

Heather received her MS in Counseling from CSU Fullerton. She has worked at Foothill Family Services, local community clinic, serving, domestic violence survivors, youth, and families. Outside of private practice, She enjoys hiking, yoga, swimming and spending time with her kittens Rigby and Milo.

She is working from her home office, in Monterey Park but is only holding telehealth sessions for all Californians . She uses the video chatting platform called VSEE.
