Professional statement

Ishmaella focuses their practice on attachment-based theory, looking at the connection between a child's early attachment experiences and understanding how that can shape their ability to form healthy emotional relationships as an adult. By utilizing this, along with a few other therapeutic practices, Ishmaella is able to incorporate somatic work into the healing process for their clients who are suffering from things like complex PTSD and trauma.

Message to clients

Because our everyday life can be so stressful, I prioritize bringing a relaxing, calming presence into our therapeutic space. I believe that, whether we realize it or not, we know what is best for our lives and are more than capable of making healthy decisions for ourselves. I give my clients the space they need to realize this and process the past events that have led them to where they are now so we can work together in creating a plan for their futures.
