Professional statement

Jane is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who provides individual psychotherapy utilizing a Christian Biblical perspective.

Having 25 years of experience working in a variety of settings, she is passionate about helping people find purpose-filled lives by utilizing Cognitive Behavioral counseling techniques (CBT) and Biblical Scripture. Jane will walk clients through the scriptures to discover the peace, joy, directions, and sometimes the answers and secrets planted plainly in God's Word.

As a Solution Focused Therapist, working with Jane is more than just talking things out. Vowing not to misuse your time, clients have found relief from their suffering in as little as 2 - 4 weeks of therapy! Clients will examine different avenues that were previously unexplored. You will be able to express your thoughts and emotions without judgment, yet she will gently but directly point you in the direction you may need to focus, all while providing encouragement. Clients are given homework after almost every session and given positive feedback as they practice new skills leading towards healing.

A recent client described what it was like working with Jane: "Jane exudes compassion when guiding her clients through their struggles. Using a faith-based approach, she reminds clients of the promises of God."

What is Jane's background? An Illinois native, she grew up in Naperville before attending college —graduating from Aurora University with a Bachelor's degree. After getting married, she pursued a counseling degree through the University of Illinois and received her Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. After starting out in the field of addictions, working with multiple mental health concerns, including extreme anxiety & depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia, she pursued a career as a school counselor at a private catholic college-preparatory high school just before opening her private practice.

Message to clients

Since obtaining my counseling license, my faith has played a large part in how I utilize the skills I learned in my graduate studies. I have no shame in admitting that counseling with me will be distinctly Faith-based. I want my clients to understand I am a Christian and will live out this beautiful faith alongside you.

We can find answers from pages of God's love letter and witness something that will be energizingly freeing! Over and over again, I have seen the Bible work as the ultimate counseling resource through some of the toughest times. Allow me to assist you in discovering God's instruction on how to positively restructure patterns of cognitive distortions and encourage behavior change so that you can experience peace of mind and joy.

“The Word of God is sufficiently useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.” ~ 2 Tim. 3:16.
