Professional statement

Jason Abrahamzon is a Licensed Counselor in Eau Claire, Wisconsin with an expertise in life purpose and meaning creation, college and graduate mental health, existential crisis, relationships, therapist counseling, and anxiety. Jason particularly specializes in journeying with people to understand life’s challenges and enhance what is important to them and specifically how they want to engage with life. He is also passionate about understanding anxiety with an existential framework. Together we create a safe and non-judgmental space focused on growth and meaning creation.

Jason places great importance in co-creating a space that allows the freedom to delve deeper into authentic thoughts and emotions that feel real and uncensored. Jason has completed training in Grief, Trauma, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy certification.

With a background in community mental health, my own therapy, starting my own private practice, and the tireless pursuit of continuing education and training; Jason focuses on the mind-body-spirit connection and works with clients who feel distant from their lives and without active engagement. His approach is grounded in humanistic and existential practices; he believes in the strength of the therapeutic relationship to heal and grow despite past and current issues.

Message to clients

Are you struggling right now and looking for help? I am here for you. Have you started to question the important things in your life and feel lost in how to move forward? You are not alone and seeking a therapist is a great step forward. Together we can begin this journey and seek greater compassion for ourselves and engage with our own mental health.

What have your past experiences of counseling been like or is this your first time going into counseling? We will work to create a space that is tailored and unique to fit your needs at this time. I greatly respect and value the importance of the therapeutic relationship in helping you heal and meet your own goals. With a here-and-now focus, we will engage with what is most important to you right now because we are looking to help the whole you; not just a part of you. This growth can echo into all areas of your life.

We will actively engage and find our own pace in counseling. We act with immediacy, but never force the issue until we are ready to move forward with appropriate tools and trust for specific issues. We will be grounded in a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your deepest thoughts, emotions, and questions about life at your own speed. We will reflect on the past, but remain here-and-now focused to create an environment of acceptance, hope, and meaning creation.
