There is no substitute for self-care. I help people address the “elephant in the room” because elephants need love too. What is your “elephant”? By creating space for curiosity and self-compassion, we can begin to navigate life’s mazes. Through the therapeutic process of learning and unlearning, telling your story, identifying the stories we’ve been told (stories we tell ourselves) - about our bodies, our sexuality, and our experiences - we can begin the process of healing and improving our quality of life. The “elephant in the room” needs love too because what we choose to not speak about, will inevitably speak for us.
My style of therapy is trauma informed and rooted in a collective of approaches - Narrative therapy, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing and Attachment style. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). However, these therapeutic modalities are merely tools to help your healing process. The a-ha moments tend to come directly from you and your inner wisdom. I am here to support your process by holding space with compassion and being attentive to your story as we navigate your world.
I work with adult individuals who feel ready to create a shift in their lives. The shift often starts with micro decisions that can create space for increased curiosity and ultimately change (growth). Additionally, I work with adult individuals who may fall into one or more of the following spectrums:
Millennials (ages 25-40ish) or Gen Z (18-24ish)
Individuals who identify as BIPOC
Individuals who are LGBTQIA+
I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to address what you're looking for in therapy, how I can support you and answer your questions about the therapy process.
