Professional statement

Do your feelings or behaviors feel out of control? Are you feeling stuck and looking for change? My approach can help you heal from the past, find freedom from struggle, grow in confidence, and learn to thrive in your life and relationships. I am experienced in helping people who are navigating a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, trauma recovery, grief, burnout, and perfectionism. Many of my clients find themselves feeling hopeless and overwhelmed with stress in the face of change. As a body-oriented somatic and holistic counselor, I help clients with deep healing work for their body, mind, behavior, and emotions. By addressing the root causes of underlying stuck patterns of thinking and behavior at the level of the nervous system, we can create real and lasting change.

I use neuroscience and evidence-based research to inform my somatic approach including EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and mindfulness. I consider the importance of felt experiences and how they impact you, engaging the power of mindfulness, or the practice of self-awareness, which builds bridges in different parts of the brain and allows for new possibilities in emotional patterns and access to new choices. In sessions, I actively incorporate awareness of the body, targeting the habits of physical action, autonomic dysregulation, and posture. By addressing the physical, as well as the psychological effects of adverse experience on mind and body, I help clients work with the past and face challenges in the present.

Message to clients

My practice is a welcoming and inclusive environment. I provide a non-judgmental and empathetic space to support discussing challenging and often taboo subjects, allowing you to address the difficult or traumatic parts of your experiences in the world. I offer support and acceptance for what each person brings to counseling and what their needs are. I believe that every challenge is an opportunity to grow and connect with ourselves. Together, I hope to support my clients develop a new relationship with themselves, overcome obstacles, heal the parts of themselves that have been wounded.
