Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsKandace Ledergerber is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor located in Tempe, AZ. Kandace supports young adults and adults who struggle with intense feelings of shame, worthlessness, low self-esteem, or perfectionism. These emotions may be the result of trauma, and they negatively impact the way that clients see themselves and engage in relationships with others, including friends, family members, and partners. Her clients struggle with the instinct to over-achieve, which can lead to exhaustion. Kandace opens her practice to people of all backgrounds, as she is passionate about supporting marginalized communities.
Kandace takes a holistic approach to therapy, offering clients the tools they need for physical and emotional healing. Kandace practices an evidence-based therapy modality called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which leverages the brain’s natural functioning to encode painful memories into the past. This results in clients feeling less impacted by their trauma-related negative emotional reactions. Kandace is also a certified yoga teacher and enjoys incorporating mindfulness and movement into her sessions. She encourages clients to align their lives to their values and helps them do so in healthy ways.
Kandace helps clients heal from painful memories and negative past experiences. She empowers them to live authentic, values-aligned lives that include joy and meaning. She hosts a podcast called Moving Out of Trauma, which embodies her approach to working with clients in a trauma-informed way.
