Kandace is a trauma therapist who specializes in working with high-achieving, Type A women who struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, and the lingering impact of past trauma. Many of her clients appear successful and put-together on the outside but internally feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and stuck in patterns of people-pleasing and self-doubt. She helps clients navigate the deep-seated beliefs that keep them feeling trapped, supporting them in finding balance, self-trust, and emotional regulation.
Kandace utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and is EMDR certified, as well as trained in Brainspotting, and mindfulness-based approaches to help clients reprocess past experiences and regulate their nervous systems. Her approach is both structured and compassionate—guiding clients through deep trauma work while providing practical tools for managing daily triggers. She believes therapy should be an active and empowering experience, giving clients the space to heal while also helping them build skills that support long-term emotional well-being.
With extensive training in trauma therapy and years of experience working with survivors of complex trauma, Kandace provides a specialized approach tailored to each client’s needs. She offers both weekly therapy and EMDR intensives, allowing clients to choose a pace that best supports their healing journey. Her practice is designed for individuals looking for targeted trauma work that fosters meaningful change.
Kandace offers both in-person sessions in Tempe, AZ, and remote therapy for clients throughout Arizona and Florida. 🚨 Availability Update: She is expecting twins and will be on maternity leave from June to September 2025. She is currently accepting new clients for short-term work before her leave or for her waitlist upon her return. Prospective clients are encouraged to schedule a consultation to explore if working together would be a good fit.
