Katrina Burton is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified High Performance Coach based in Ellicott City, MD, who works with busy, stressed and overwhelmed women who are ready to get their lives back.
Katrina’s eclectic and intuitive approach combines these core psychological frameworks:
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which focuses on the connection between our inner thoughts, beliefs, actions, and behaviors.
• Positive Psychology, the scientific study of the strengths that empower individuals to thrive, based on the belief that people want to live meaningful lives, cultivate what is best within themselves, and enhance their experiences of love, work, and play.
• Narrative Therapy, which helps clients who are stuck in problem-saturated life stories to reimagine their perceptions, articulate experiences in new ways, and re-author past and future chapters.
Katrina masterfully integrates her training, clinical experience, and rich life experiences, to help clients experience spiritual and emotional transformations, break destructive cycles, improve relationships, and create more meaningful lives. She incorporates mindfulness and other techniques to help clients create a new identity grounded in self-care, compassion, and love.
