Kira is a Clinical Social Work Supervisee who is passionate about creating a warm, affirming, and collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. She works with adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, identity exploration, emotional regulation, self-esteem, relationship challenges, and disordered eating. Kira also has experience supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and believes every client deserves a space where they can show up authentically.
Kira is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach, tailoring treatment to each client's unique goals, values, and experiences while helping them build practical skills for lasting growth.
Creativity is an important part of Kira's clinical style. When appropriate, she incorporates art, writing, and music into therapy to encourage self-expression and engagement. As part of Geek Therapeutics, she is also expanding her use of geek therapy interventions, thoughtfully integrating clients' interests—including gaming, fantasy, science fiction, and other fandoms—to create therapy that feels authentic and meaningful.
Kira offers in-person appointments at Geek Therapeutics' Fairfax, Virginia office and secure telehealth services for clients throughout Virginia, making personalized, evidence-based care accessible wherever clients feel most comfortable.
