Professional statement

Kristen Gangemi is a licensed clinical social worker, AAT, Usui Holy Fire Reiki Master Teacher, a Shamanic Reiki Master, and an SAP, who works with individuals from the ages of 10 to 100, with a focus on mindfulness and connecting to yourself. Kristen is particularly focused on helping clients struggling or coping with substance use as well as life transitions and daily stress.

Kristen’s approach is rooted in CBT and mindfulness that focuses on helping clients on the sobriety journey or being able to calm the body and mind. She works on helping clients realizing how to ground themselves and do mindful things throughout their days to get through certain situations, and begin to problem-solve ways to introduce moments of calm, to choose to respond rather than react in the situation.

Kristen is focused on ensuring that her clients feel confident and strong to continue on any journey they choose to. Her style is interactive and non judgemental. Healing and being able to express oneself is the most important first step.
