Professional statement

Dr. Kristin Davin is a Clinical Psychologist who welcomes individuals 18+ to her practice. She is passionate about helping people transform, build, and sustain healthier relationships both at home and at work. A integral part of her therapy is providing a safe platform so people can tackle communication difficulties and challenges in their relationship and in life using two paths that consistently overlap.

One path is exploring the thoughts and feelings each person is experiencing and the other path is providing the skills and strategies needed for change to occur. She helps people build a strong foundation and recognize the importance of remaining attached to and being able to rely on one another, is key to overcoming and moving through the ups and downs of life that we all experience.

Dr. Davin is trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, which helps clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors intersect and influence one another. She also uses techniques inherent in Solution Focused Therapy and Emotional Focused Therapy and recognizes the importance that using an eclectic therapy approach allows her to meet each client where they are.

She believes strongly that hearing each person's story, especially their first chapter, their family of origin as this first chapter in life often influences the choices that people make in their life is key in therapy.

Dr. Davin works with individuals and is licensed in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. She offers online remote sessions in all three states. She is passionate about working people who are motivated, forward-thinking, and open-minded and want to take the steps to create the life they envision.

Message to clients

Living purposefully doesn't magically happen overnight. It requires practice, dedication, and consistency. Are you tired of feeling like you are never good enough? Do you keep falling into one toxic relationship after another? Do you dream of a life where you can overcome challenges confidently?

As an experienced relationship therapist, I assure you that you can overcome your life's least glamorous moments—it all starts with a conscious effort to look within.

We all seek a life filled with joy, happiness, and supportive, loving relationships. Yet no matter how “perfect” our lives are, we all face our fair share of challenges and curveballs. At times, it can seem like the world is crashing down on us.

I’m here to tell you that your emotions are completely valid.

I'll also let you in on a little secret: you can change the way you react to obstacles and relationship hurdles by looking within, developing a supportive toolkit, and creating new patterns.

Through individual therapy and coaching, I help clients improve their relationships and find a deeper connection to themselves.

In our sessions, you will learn how to manage conflict, learn healthy modes of communication, gain valuable tools for overcoming codependent and unhealthy patterns, and cultivate a nourishing self-care practice for yourself. My collaborative approach to therapy is centered around meeting you where you are and tailoring our sessions to your unique path.

It takes a lot of courage to embark on this journey.
