Professional statement

Leanna Lee-Sydnor is a licensed psychotherapist who specializes in working with high-achievers who are great at what they do—whether that’s running a business, excelling in school, or building a career—but who sometimes struggle with burnout, feeling disconnected in relationships, or questioning their sense of self beyond their achievements. Currently serving New York and Connecticut, Leanna provides a therapeutic space free from expectations and judgment, where clients can step away from external pressures, explore the parts of themselves they’ve had to push aside, and redefine success in a way that makes room for fulfillment, connection, and self-trust. With a blend of deep insight, practical strategies, and a compassionate, results-oriented approach, she helps clients move beyond short-term fixes to create the emotional well-being, relationships, and self-understanding needed for long-term fulfillment.

Message to clients

Dear Zen Care community,

Congratulations on taking your first steps towards your wellness. You’ve spent so much time proving you’re capable, but you don’t have to handle everything alone. Therapy isn’t about fixing you—it’s about giving you a place where you don’t have to perform, where you can just be yourself without judgment. Therapy is about optimizing the way you think, process stress, and navigate relationships so you can perform at your best. Just like strength training builds resilience in your body, therapy builds the mental endurance and clarity you need to sustain success without burnout.

To my couples:

Success in business doesn’t automatically mean success in love. The same way you invest in your career, you can invest in your relationship. Therapy helps you communicate better, rebuild intimacy, and create a partnership that thrives, not just survives. Lets work on creating better communication, deeper intimacy, exploring attachment dynamics, restoring trust and creating true safety.

To my boarders:

I know that boarding school is not a walk in the park. You may face struggles with pressure to perform, loneliness, hyper-independence, home issues, dating, pressure around using drugs/alcohol, confusion around navigating peer groups. Therapy with me is a safe, judgment-free zone where you can actually be yourself—not just the high-achiever you and others may expect you to be.
