Leona Pierce is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker committed to providing comprehensive mental health care to adults and young adults throughout the greater Philadelphia area utilizing an integrative approach with a foundation rooted in evidence-based treatment models including cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy.

Leona specializes in a holistic, integrative therapy approach, treating the whole person by recognizing and respecting the interconnection and interdependence between mind and body. Holistic therapy offers a refreshing perspective by focusing on the interconnectedness of mental & physical health, increasing insight, self-esteem & resiliency. Embracing the belief that the mind & body are deeply intertwined, this therapeutic approach provides a unique opportunity for true healing & transformation, improving relationships with others & gaining insight along the way. Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(TF-CBT) challenges distressing emotions, thoughts & behaviors tied to past trauma, aiming to separate the past from present. By addressing the impact trauma has upon the overall well-being we will find ways to stay rooted in today, allowing the pain of the past to dull & fade, making space for the light of a horizon tomorrow. Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and other mindfulness practices have the potential to reveal insight & understanding in an unparalleled capacity. The insight we gain allows us to observe our reality, while also interrupting negative thought patterns and changing our futures for the better.

I aim to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can openly express your thoughts, feelings and history, allowing for gained insight and a fresh perspective, better equipping you to identify solutions to barriers in your way or methods to cope with life's challenges.
