Lindsey Moore is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Alexandria, Virginia. She has over a decade of experience in working with clients who have Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), including children, adolescents, and adults.
Lindsey takes a highly collaborative approach, welcoming client feedback and opinions on what’s working, and what areas could be reworked. Her perspective is client-centered, and she tailors treatment based on what each individual needs to cope both in certain settings that are unique to them, as well as the general world at large.
When working with individuals (either children or adults) who have ADHD, Lindsey works with them to both alleviate stress and figure out strategies at home. She works with clients to identify the top two or three issues they’re trying to adapt for now – such as, say, time management – and helps them work on it in manageable chunks. This unique blend incorporates elements of both coaching and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as mindfulness practices.
Prior to entering private practice, Lindsey worked at the National Center for Children & Families. Her offices are located in Old Town Alexandria and Barracks Row in Eastern Market, where she looks forward to meeting you.
