Professional statement

Madelaine Weiss is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Master of Business Administration, and Board Certified Executive, Career, and Life Coach who connects with clients through virtual sessions from her Washington, DC office. She specializes in work-life transitions, quality, and growth; as well as more general anxiety, stress management, relationship, and self-esteem issues.

Clients often come to Madelaine when they’re experiencing stress, including but not limited to work stress stemming from highly demanding and/or executive positions. As a coach, she integrates her extensive knowledge of psychodynamics with concrete tools that her clients can take away at the end of the session. Such techniques might include using mindfulness as a tool to reflect on issues before moving forward in a clear, resolute manner. Most, if not all, of her sessions end with an action plan so that clients can make concrete, tangible progress in chosen areas of their lives.

Madelaine has a business background herself, having gotten her MBA from the Boston University Graduate School of Management, and having held numbers of executive positions throughout her career. She enjoys using a blend of firsthand context with a warm, encouraging, open, direct, and neutral perspective to help her clients find satisfaction and success in their lives.

To ensure goodness of fit, initial phone consultations with Madelaine are ~45 minutes, and free of charge.

Message to clients

Hello, I am a Harvard trained practitioner and Board Certified Coach with more than 30 years experience helping people to make their dreams come true. In our work together we would define where you want to go in your life, and how you will get there, with a special emphasis on what's in the way. You may work on one or more parts of your life. Since 'You are You' wherever you may go, you may find that gains you make in one part of your life can significantly improve other parts too. You will decide which part(s) of your life you want to work on. These may include: Work, Play, Family, Friends, Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Money, Romance...

From me you may expect neutrality consistent with my perspective that you are the best person to be in charge of your life. And, you may expect some warmth and humor, as 'I am I' wherever I may go too. I look forward to hearing from you.

Best Wishes,

Work and Education
