Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, LICSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsMarisa Mohrer offers 60 minute ongoing sessions and specializes in half and full day trauma therapy intensives. A therapy intensive is an efficient and comprehensive pathway to heal trauma in consecutive days instead of over many years in weekly therapy, and can accelerate symptom relief. Marisa utilizes evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, Progressive Counting, and the Flash technique to effectively heal the roots of distressing emotions and negative beliefs stored within traumatic memories.
Marisa brings her passion for somatic psychology, trauma-sensitive mindfulness, and attachment theory to her therapeutic approach. She invites her clients to offer a gentle curiosity to all parts of themselves, so that together they may attune to what the body, heart, and spirit are most needing to restore wholeness.
Marisa recognizes that we already contain natural healing capacities within us. Her role is to facilitate the conditions to bring these capacities forward. Marisa offers telehealth for Massachusetts residents and in-person sessions at her Portland Downtown office.
