Professional statement

Marlo Sell is a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Knightdale, NC. Marlo enjoys working with late adolescent teens, young adults and adults, particularly with women who often become overwhelmed with what’s happening in their lives. Many of Marlo’s clients experience guilt, anger, depression, or anxiety in their day-to-day lives, and they seek a way to manage these emotions rather than ignore them.

In sessions with Marlo, clients will laugh, cry, vent, and heal. Marlo teaches them helpful coping strategies to try when they begin to feel overwhelmed. Clients learn skills from Emotional Freedom Technique and tapping, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness. Marlo is a collaborative therapist who promotes self-compassion and self-understanding. Her goal is to help clients find a way of living that promotes balance, joy, peace, and fulfillment.

Marlo earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. She has nearly ten years of experience as a therapist, and shows up in each session with empathy and encouragement.
