Licensed Professional Counselor, LPCHe/Him/His
Licensed Professional Counselor, LPCAs a therapist with experience in substance abuse and addiction, Matt specializes in working with adults experiencing active addiction and early recovery from addiction, as well as family members and loved ones who are affected by someone's drinking or substance use. In addition to these areas, Matt also helps people experiencing issues related to Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Men's Issues, Anger Management, and other Interpersonal Issues.
Matt focuses on helping clients to promote acceptance, which can be through a traditional talk therapy session, setting goals, practicing mindfulness, or using EFT Tapping to create a deeper understanding of recurring issues. He also approaches client work through an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approach, which is a mindfulness-based style, and Internal Family Systems, which explores the various parts within one's personality.
Matt strives to provide all clients with a safe and non-judgmental space. He believes in working towards acceptance of the self and incorporates this value in client work. In addition to meeting clients in Atlanta, Matt is also available for sessions online through a private, HIPAA-compliant TeleMental Health platform. Matt is currently accepting new clients for private pay, as well as clients in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna.
