Professional statement

“The nice thing about things that are urgent is that if you wait long enough they aren’t urgent anymore.” –Dr. Amos Tversky

The demands of modern society have created an environment in which every moment of every day seems to be urgent. This constant sense of urgency leads to stress, which in turn makes you feel overwhelmed and unfulfilled. You may feel like each day is no more than a series of crises and that you can’t keep up with everything. Finding your way out of this loop requires stepping outside of your daily routine and figuring out what really matters to you. Through this process you can STOP what is not working for you and develop positive lifestyle changes.

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2002 and have worked with a variety of populations in multiple settings. I can help you identify the long-term lifestyle changes that you want to make and then work with you to develop a realistic plan to attain these lifestyle changes. My therapeutic style is realistic, collaborative, compassionate and honest. I look forward to helping you help yourself!

I provide in person sessions in my office located in Cumming, Georgia. I also provide telehealth/virtual sessions. Feel free to contact me for an initial consult.
