Professional statement

At Sweet Orange Therapy Services, Megan Dinnebeil, provides virtual-only individual talk-therapy sessions for clients in Colorado. Megan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Perinatal Mental Health Professional Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International. Megan's therapeutic style is client-centered, strength-based, and solution-focused.

Megan's expertise and passion is working with women and birthing persons through the maternal periods: preconception, fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, abortion, pregnancy, postpartum and the entire parenting journey, addressing anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and self-esteem while navigating relationships, parenting, household management, caregiving and professional careers.

Megan also works with young adult and adult women navigating anxiety, depression, perfectionism, college, careers, relationships, boundary setting, and future goals. Megan is here to walk with you through life’s challenges and changes.

At Sweet Orange Therapy Services, Megan incorporates cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapies with and motivational interviewing and mindfulness approches while supporting you in identifying and integrating positive coping rituals for tangible benefit to support your whole person therapy journey. This may look like enhancement of talk therapy with opportunities for breathwork, movement, meditation, and community resources and connections. We will develop an individualized plan for building your coping capacity and self-care outside of therapy sessions that is tailored to what works for you.

Therapy can be an essential piece of a coping arsenal and can empower you to meet your goals and nurture your true self. With a background in social work, Megan brings a wealth of community connections, individual and systemic perspectives, and holistic focus on the whole self. While you determine the direction of therapy, Megan will offer you support without judgement and opportunities to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, increase positive coping, set boundaries that honor your needs, and build in tangible balance, healing and contentment in your life.

Message to clients

Welcome to Sweet Orange Therapy Services. I so look forward to connecting with you for a free consultation to see if I may be a good fit for your therapeutic process. I am an experienced therapist specializing in women's issues and maternal mental health but see any clients experiencing issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem and perfectionism. I am an LGBTQAI affirming provider. All are welcome and all are safe here. Clients describe me as warm, thoughtful, direct, supportive, validating, knowledgable and witty.

Sometimes the thought of this intake session feels so overwhelming that it prevents people from engaging at all. I want to ease your mind that we will go at your pace, it will always be your choice what you share and when. You don’t even have to know what your goals are for therapy, maybe you just know you are ready for a change or want to feel different, that is all okay. Come as you are and we will go from there together.

If anytime during therapy you feel I may not be a good fit for you, that is absolutely okay. My role is to support you to meet your goals not to impede your growth or coping in anyway. If needed, I will help you connect to a therapist that may feel like a better fit. Therapy won't always be fun or comfortable but I will always be here to support you through the discomfort to discover new growth.
