What drew me to social work was the opportunity to help and connect with people in a genuine and sincere way. What makes me well-suited to be a social worker is my compassion and empathy for people as well as my curiosity as to how other people see the world. I have previously worked in the following settings: Rehabs, hospitals, and outpatient facilities. My experiences with every client I have met along the way have shaped my practice in ways that I could not have imagined. People have taught me more by allowing me to interact with and work with them.What someone should know about working with me is that I want to meet people where they are and help guide them toward their goals. My intake process will involve information-gathering as well as getting to know the person I will be working with. Progress will be an agreed-upon goal between myself and my clients. I do not assign homework, but I do want clients to have things to consider or think about in between our sessions. I like working with clients who are proactive and motivated to change for the better.
