Professional statement

Miqveh Steinhart is a Clinical Social Worker licensed in MA, RI and CT that specializes in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, complicated life transitions, stressors related to work/school, self-esteem concerns and relationship issues. She received her Master's degree in Social Work from Boston College and her Bachelor's degree from Pepperdine University. Her most recent work experience prior to starting her own private practice was at Mclean Hospital providing therapeutic services to clients all over the hospital struggling with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders. She has wide ranging experience helping clients manage difficult mental health concerns and is very passionate about being able to continue to help others.

Miqveh uses a collaborative approach, believing that therapy is most successful when both therapist and client thoughtfully combine expertise; the client's expertise in self and the therapist's expertise regarding utilizing reflective tools, applying insights and coping techniques. The primary goal is to help each client better cope with the present and freely, thoughtfully engage in life.

Miqveh offers flexible online scheduling with intermittent availability late mornings, afternoons and evenings Monday-Friday and every other Saturday morning (10AM-1PM). Her private practice is entirely virtual, via video sessions.

Please reach out to schedule a free 10-15 minute phone consultation to see about getting started with therapy.

Message to clients

Ever feel consumed by worry, anxiousness or a need to have it all figured out? Hoping for more balance while dealing with life's challenges? Or maybe you just need someone to vent to?

I utilize a collaborative approach, providing a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to be able to openly express themselves and work through challenges that may be interfering with them reaching their goals. I seek to help clients better understand their circumstances, clarify their goals and values, notice/modify thought patterns as needed, and learn different techniques to use to better address concerns or challenges of note.

I do my best to offer a balanced perspective to my clients via constructive, compassionate feedback. Progress take time, but it all starts one step at a time. If you are open to the journey, I am here to help you along.
