Professional statement

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with nearly 20 years of experience providing compassionate therapy to individuals and families. I specialize in supporting those navigating the emotional complexities of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, including new parents and individuals managing life transitions. My work extends across various stages of life, offering a safe and nurturing space for clients to explore their challenges and aspirations.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and a holistic understanding of the individual. I draw from my experience as a certified birth doula and my expertise in perinatal mental health to empower clients to build resilience and embrace their innate capacity for healing. By combining nurturing care with practical support, I guide clients through self-exploration and growth, helping them navigate their unique journeys with confidence and clarity.

I hold a Bachelor of Social Work from the Catholic University of America and a Master of Social Work from Simmons University. I am also certified in Perinatal Maternal Health through Postpartum Support International (PSI), a Reiki Master, and am currently pursuing certification as a Lactation Consultant Educator. These qualifications enable me to offer a wide range of support services, including therapy, doula services, and guidance for new parents.

My practice offers flexibility to meet the needs of my clients. I provide both in-person sessions in West Hartford, CT and remote sessions for clients in Massachusetts. Evening and weekend availability ensures that therapy can fit into busy schedules. I am honored you are here (and willing to take the first step in feeling better), I invite you to reach out to begin your journey of self-discovery and healing, whether for therapy, doula services, or additional support.

Message to clients

There are moments in life that stay with you forever: your first kiss, your wedding day, your child’s birth, and their first day of school. Childbirth, in particular, is often imagined as a joyful, life-changing event. But for some, the reality can feel isolating, overwhelming, and filled with uncertainty.

Maybe you’ve prepared for baby by reading all the books, buying the gear, and carefully listening to advice. Yet, despite your efforts, you feel exhausted, lonely, and uncertain. It’s hard to imagine feeling like yourself again, and the things you’ve tried so far don’t seem to be helping.

Now imagine waking up with less anxiety, more confidence in your decisions, and a sense of pride in the amazing mom you are. Imagine feeling supported—not guilty—when you take time for yourself. The good news is that it’s possible to get there.

I offer a safe, judgment-free space to help you process these emotions and find balance. My flexible schedule, including day, evening and weekend appointments, makes it easy to fit therapy into your busy life. You can complete intake forms from your cell phone, and I offer a free consultation to help you take that first step toward feeling better.

You don’t have to do this alone. I look forward to connecting with you soon.
