Professional statement

Born with an artistic temperament, I spent several decades toiling in the entertainment industry before shifting into the practice of therapy. Life experience has given me a deep understanding of what it takes to be an artist, how hard it is to survive in a creative field, and has given me a unique ability to delve into a client’s creative process. Artists tend to possess unique personal qualities, share similar struggles, and I specialize in both. This niche has also given me insight into highly sensitive people of all kinds.

I believe the relationship between client and therapist is the most important component in therapy. You need to feel safe and seen in order to make the first steps of your journey. I use a non-judgmental, gentle style of therapy and am more oriented to meeting you where you are then slapping a diagnosis on you. My approach is attachment-based and existential, among other things. I have also found that moving from a more constrictive, black-and-white and narrow form of thinking, to a more expansive, flexible and nuanced posture is almost always part of the therapeutic process.

Message to clients

If you are feeling lost in your journey as an artist or human being, or simply if you want to be the best version of yourself, I can help. It’s your journey, I’m just the guide.

Although I have found a niche working with creatives, I have experience and training in helping a wide spectrum of the population. I’ve had success working with clients of all ages and backgrounds, who bring in a host of different issues they wish to solve. I have long been an advocate for LGBT rights, and racial and economic equality. I enjoy working with people from every conceivable faith and culture, and believe my first task as your therapist is to make you feel as safe as possible, so you can be free to express and discover yourself.
