Rebecca Ramos is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of Brass City Counseling in Waterbury, CT who works with children ages seven and up, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan. She specializes in addiction, depression, anxiety, loss and grief, and trauma, including childhood abuse and environmental trauma.
When working with children, Rebecca gets the parents and family involved, so that everyone is on the same page and progress can be made between sessions. This includes learning how to communicate and better understand systems in place.
Rebecca helps her clients become more in-tune with their nervous system through mindfulness, yoga, and/or meditation. She also works with them to become more comfortable with experiencing different emotions and gain a better understanding of their natural response to stressful situations. She also incorporates art therapy whenever possible.
Rebecca believes everyone has the potential to grow and heal, and she feels honored to walk alongside her clients as they embark on this journey. Before working in private practice, she was the group facilitator at an intensive outpatient program. She looks forward to meeting you.
