She/Her/HersMaster of Arts (MA) - Clinical Mental Health Counseling Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate, LPCC Specialties • Insurance & Fees • Locations
Becca Tarnowski is a licensed professional counselor candidate (LPCC) in Colorado who works with adults, with a focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, and spiritual development. Many of her clients are high-functioning, insightful individuals who are struggling to make sense of their current state of mind. They feel lonely and disconnected from themselves and/or their partners. Becca is particularly sensitive to clients facing loneliness, anxiety, depression, or uncertainty through pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Person-centered therapy is at the heart of Becca’s therapeutic practice. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of transformative healing, and that each individual is the expert of their experience. She often uses Emotionally Focused Therapy combined with Somatic Therapy to help clients sense underlying emotions and tend to them, so that they can begin to make meaningful change. She works to help individuals develop compassion for themselves, and connection with their inner wisdom so they can live a more peaceful and purposeful life.
Becca has specialized training in the treatment of perinatal mood disorders and advanced training in perinatal mental health psychotherapy from Postpartum Support International. She has also received specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy from the Colorado Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy and is trained in Somatic Therapy by Dr. Peter Levine via The Embody Lab. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
