Rebecca Zub, LMHC, ATR is a licensed mental health counselor and registered art therapist. She created Lucid Bound Studio- a private art therapy and wellness practice, to provide a safe space for positive expression of thoughts and feelings in order to work towards healing and growth. Her clientele are adults experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem deficits, or simply everyday stress; with special emphasis placed on those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities.
Lucid Bound Studio offers flexibility to meet the needs of its clients. This may mean practicing new coping skills to overcome anxiety, sometimes using art during sessions, or simply being a space for validation and a listening ear. Rebecca offers a strengths-based, person-centered, and conversational approach while employing CBT and mindfulness strategies.
While Rebecca is an art therapist, artmaking does not necessarily need to happen in each (or any!) session. Client and therapist co-create the space to decide how best to tackle challenges. If artmaking does occur, it can look like using watercolors to settle anxiety or to work on flexibility in challenging situations. It may also look like starting a multi-session self portrait to process self-esteem challenges.
Rebecca’s work experience includes a wide range of roles from home-based, adult day programs, residential treatment, emergency assessment, and intensive outpatient. Her professional expertise and interests lie in working with autistic adolescents and adults and supporting them through learning tools for emotional identification and regulation, and self-expression.
Rebecca offers virtual therapy via video and phone. In-person sessions are not available at this time.
