I'm a practical, easygoing, and results-oriented therapist. We work in collaboration as partners, combining your goals with my research-proven techniques. These techniques include CBT, traditional talk therapy, a focus on improving SENS (sleep/exercise/nutrition/social-connection factors), and others, always applied holistically and non-dogmatically. I'm particularly strong with issues that therapy has thus far failed to resolve. While traditional therapy focuses on exploring and understanding your issues, I'll make sure we take action, see real change, and leave you well-prepared to prevent backsliding.
You can usually expect to "graduate" from weekly sessions with me after 2-6 months. We can of course work together longer than this, often on a monthly basis, or indefinitely if you choose. Please email or call me for a free 15-minute consultation to see if we're a good match. I'm happy to guide this conversation if you're unsure where to begin.
A bit about me: I grew up in the Washington area and lived abroad for four years. After working in several fields, I've been a therapist since 2017. I spend my free time getting outside, traveling, and with good company and good food. I hold a BA magna cum laude in psychology from Duke University and master's degrees from Johns Hopkins SAIS and USC.
