Ryan helps people who have lost direction in their lives reconnect with how they feel and what they want so they can make meaningful changes and work toward greater happiness and fulfillment. Those who reach out to him for help often feel unfulfilled and depressed, and unsure where to start because they have felt disconnected from themselves and what they want for such a long time. His clients often struggle with self-criticism, self-doubt, and even feel hopeless that real happiness is out of their reach.
By incorporating his expertise in cognitive-based therapies while creating a safe and accepting environment to explore how they think and feel, Ryan helps his clients regain a sense of who they are and where they’re going. His clients often leave therapy with a changed perspective, more self-acceptance and self-compassion, and better tools to handle whatever life throws at them.
Before he became a counselor, Ryan worked for fifteen years in finance, banking, technology, and international business so he understands the challenges professionals face in work and in life. He has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Metropolitan State University of Denver where he graduated with honors. He has also earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. He has completed advanced training and has earned post-graduate certificates in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy from the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Colorado and New Jersey.
