Professional statement

Sandra Paolini is a licensed psychotherapist with more than two decades of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, panic, and patterns that don’t shift with surface-level solutions. Her clients are often high-achieving and capable in many areas of life—but beneath that, they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected. Whether it's panic attacks, chronic stress, or a major life transition, they’re looking for more than symptom relief. They’re ready for lasting change.

Sandra’s approach is rooted in both modern science and ancient practices. Drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic methods, and subtle-body tools like Yoga Nidra, she helps clients create nervous system-level change. Sessions focus on building body awareness, developing cognitive flexibility, and interrupting the cycles that keep fear and reactivity in charge. It’s a practical, insight-driven process designed to create change from the inside out.

She brings a steady, honest presence to therapy—offering a space where real work can happen without getting lost in overwhelm. Clients appreciate her grounded, no-nonsense style, combined with deep compassion and a commitment to clarity. This is work that goes beyond coping. It’s about shifting your relationship with fear, stress, and self-imposed limits—so you can live with more freedom and choice.

Sandra’s professional training is matched by personal experience. Her own recovery from panic disorder and agoraphobia informs everything she does. She knows firsthand what it takes to break free from reactive patterns—and what makes change sustainable. In addition to her one-on-one work, she leads workshops and small groups focused on nervous system healing, mindset rewiring, and behavior change.

Sessions are available remotely, Monday through Friday. Sandra works exclusively online, providing accessible therapy for clients across California.

Message to clients

Perhaps you've spent years trying to change. You've gained insight, learned new skills, and genuinely wanted things to be different—yet somehow the same patterns continue to reappear. Whether it's anxiety, self-doubt, relationship struggles, burnout, or simply feeling that life could be more fulfilling, it can be discouraging when your best efforts don't lead to the lasting change you hoped for.

I believe meaningful change begins when we stop asking, "Why can't I do this?" and begin asking, "What might I not be seeing?" Often, the greatest obstacles to change aren't a lack of motivation or willpower but the hidden assumptions and protective strategies that quietly shape how we think, feel, and respond to the world. Once these become visible, entirely new possibilities can emerge.

Whether you join one of my therapy groups, workshops, or work with me individually, my goal is the same: to help you develop a fundamentally different way of understanding yourself—one that creates greater freedom, flexibility, and choice. My hope is that you leave not only with new insights, but with a practical process you can return to whenever life invites you to grow.
