Professional statement

Sarah is passionate about helping those who want to manage and improve their mental wellness. She uses person-centered approaches to help individuals based on their unique needs, desires, and personalities. She strives to help others see and use their strengths when they have difficulty believing in themselves and increasing hope when overwhelmed with the weight of the world. She understands the value of therapy to build trust, communication skills, and boundaries to manage relationships and difficult circumstances. She is focused on seeing the individual meet their goals and overcome challenges in their life.

Sarah is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with nearly 15 years of experience and has received training in DBT and CBT skills, cultural competency, suicide prevention, perinatal mental health, and trauma-informed care.

Sarah has a telehealth (video) practice based out of North Providence, RI to make therapy convenient for others and has late afternoon and evening sessions available throughout the week with immediate openings. She accepts most Commercial (private/employer-based) insurance plans. She doesn't accept RI Medicaid/Mass Health plans at this time. She does have sliding scale options for those not currently insured.

Message to clients

I know that seeking mental health services can make one feel weak but I challenge you to view it as a strength, to help yourself be the best version of yourself, as well to help you be your best self for those you may care for in your life. It takes courage to take this step outside of your comfort zone. Those who attend therapy with me understand that it takes time to work on the areas needing attention in your life. I like to help you identify coping skills and resources that work the best for you. Opening up in therapy can be hard but it's also good to know that some sessions are lighter than others! It's a place to sometimes cry, sometimes laugh, learn, reflect, grow and ultimately feel better about who you are! It's an honor to spend time with you each week in your journey!
