Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, LICSW Licensed Master Social Worker, LMSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW Masters of Business Administration, MBA Specialties • Insurance & Fees • LocationsShawn Brossart is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker located in Austin, TX. Shawn works with young adults and adults who are feeling unsatisfied in their daily lives, which can lead to increasing feelings of perfectionism, excessive worry, and existential challenges. Her clients seek personal growth so they can overcome their stress, including caregiver stress, stress from work, and the stress of major life transitions.
Shawn helps her clients identify and leverage their strengths, which shed life on their innate resilience. Clients learn more about their values and talk about what’s important to them, which can help them change their perspective. Shawn encourages clients to practice self-compassion through Self-Compassion Therapy, teaching them how to ground them through being kind to the self. This, in turn, can reduce their stress, particularly if they are prone to perfectionistic tendencies or going through experiences like divorce or infertility. Shawn is an empathetic listener and believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to improve their mental health, offering psychodynamic therapy as a way to support personal growth.
Shawn earned Masters degrees in Social Work and Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University. She helps clients set goals for themselves so they can live the lives that they want and to find meaning, even in the little things.
