Professional statement

Sherilyn is a compassionate mental health therapist who has been supporting clients since 2012. She works with individuals experiencing trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, and life transitions, helping them build practical tools to manage symptoms and create a more balanced and fulfilling life. Sherilyn is especially passionate about supporting clients who feel emotionally overwhelmed and in need of a calm, supportive space to heal and grow.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and practical skill building. Sherilyn creates a nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported throughout the counseling process. She believes growth often happens within life's more difficult and uncertain moments, and through therapy she helps clients strengthen resilience, increase self awareness, and develop healthier ways of coping.

Sherilyn's path into mental health was inspired by her own experiences with therapy during her teenage years. She spent nine years running her own private practice before expanding into a mental health hospital setting, and has provided telehealth therapy for the past three years. She currently provides online therapy through WellQor.

To get started, fill out the WellQor Get Started form. A WellQor intake coordinator will reach out by text to learn about what you are looking for and match you with the therapist best suited to your needs — not just the next available provider. From there, expect a simple process to confirm your fit and get your first session scheduled. Please have your insurance card and member ID ready to help verify coverage and clarify costs.

Outside of work, Sherilyn enjoys time with family, camping, hiking, and embracing balance and self care.

Message to clients

Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, overwhelming, or even intimidating at times, and I want you to know that you do not have to have everything figured out before we begin. My hope is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely heard without fear of judgment. I believe therapy works best when there is trust, honesty, and collaboration, and I strive to meet each client with compassion, patience, and understanding.

I work from the belief that healing and growth look different for everyone. Together, we will focus on helping you better understand yourself, manage stress and difficult emotions, and build practical tools that support your everyday life. I know that change takes time, and I will encourage you to move at a pace that feels comfortable and realistic for you.

My goal is not only to help you navigate challenges, but also to help you recognize your strengths and create a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and fulfilling. I feel honored to walk alongside my clients in their journey and deeply value the trust it takes to begin the therapeutic process.

I am currently accepting new clients and would be happy to connect with you. You can schedule an appointment using the Book Appointment button on my profile or contact our Patient Liaison Team at the number listed above.
