Stephanie specializes in the treatment of trauma related disorders with a special interest in working with folks who are recovering from abusive relationships and religious trauma. Stephanie has expertise in working with folks with dissociative disorders, life transitions, colleges students, childhood abuse and neglect, and folks who are in low or no contact with family members.

Stephanie is passionate about working with people as they recover from trauma and has pursued extensive education in order to provide the best possible care to clients. Stephanie is level 1 trained in Internal Family Systems therapy and is a Certified EMDR Therapist. Stephanie is also an EMDRIA Approved Consultant in Training for EMDR Therapy and enjoys working with other clinicians as they learn to provide EMDR Therapy. Stephanie also draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in order to tailor therapy to a client's individual needs.

Stephanie sees young adults and adults. A primary focus of Stephanie's practice is adapting therapy to each client. She enjoys working with folks who are neurodiverse, and welcomes a client to share their unique needs in order to make therapy accessible. At this time, Stephanie's office does require the use of stairs, though she does offer teletherapy for clients in Rhode Island and Ohio.

Message to clients

I believe that each person has the innate wisdom and resources to heal. I also believe that if you have experienced hurt, trauma, and betrayal, this may feel out of reach and impossible. I tend to take things slow, focus on building trust within our relationship, and collaborating so that you have choice and control each step on the way. Therapy is a big ask and I have so much respect for the hard work that happens in my office.

I approach therapy as an intersectional feminist. As a queer clinician, I hold a special interest in working with other folks in the LGBTQIA+ community. I also hold privilege in being white and able bodied. Continued learning in order to practice with cultural humility is a priority for me in my practice.
