Susan Lemor

Susan Lemor is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a practice in the Flatiron District of New York City. Her practice focuses on relationship challenges, professional or family stress, and major life changes. As a couples therapist, Susan helps partners improve communication, rekindle intimacy, and gain greater effectiveness in co-parenting. She also specializes in mood and anxiety disorders, especially among expecting, pregnant, and new mothers.

Susan uses evidence-based treatment approaches to provide clients with individualized care suited to their concerns. Using approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and interpersonal therapy, she collaborates with all her clients to understand both how past experiences influence the present, and how to change behaviors to resolve immediate issues and concerns.

In addition to her private practice, Susan has also had experience working with couples and families at the Ackerman Institute for the Family, where she presently still works with a team on a research project. She is dedicated to creating a safe space in which clients feel safe, comfortable, and ready to move forward.
