Professional statement

I’ve never accepted the idea of “traditional” therapy in an office. People don’t live in the therapy office! I started my career in 2009, working with children and families in their homes. By 2013, I transitioned to counseling online where I focused on chronic pain therapy. In early 2020, with some additional training, I incorporated trauma recovery therapies into my practice. The transition was a good fit!

My Approach:

Each new journey begins with an in-depth look at the reasons you chose therapy. I’ll ask questions about topics that may not seem relevant or connected, too. Our behaviors, thoughts, and emotions are fueled by our brain’s interpretation of our experiences. We may even inherit interpretations from prior generations! We’ll look at it all. Once we have a clear understanding of the path that brought you to therapy, then we’ll begin creating a roadmap that gets you where you want to go. You’re in charge every step of the way. I’ll simply to be your guide. Having made this healing journey myself and retraced its many paths with others, I’ll walk with you on your unique journey.

I approach therapy assuming each individual has strengths that can be tapped for recovery. Additionally your early childhood experiences, culture, family traditions and beliefs are fertile ground for discovering the root of the challenges you’re facing today and their solutions. We’ll work together to rewrite your life story that puts you front and center as the hero(ine). We’ll explore how you talk to yourself, what you assume is true, and how those mental processes ultimately define what you do. Most importantly, we’ll evaluate whether all these factors truly represent who you are and who you want to be. I’ll help you create new habits, thoughts, and behaviors that reflect the real you.

Message to clients

I help anxious over-achievers like you silence their inner critic. You’ve accomplished so much, but you’re still so hard on yourself. You never settle for anything less than perfect. You worry all the time that your best just isn’t good enough. You pack your days full so there's no time to care for yourself or nurture your closest relationships. You appear confident and polished, but inside you feel inadequate and desperately alone.

What if you could finally stop chasing perfection? No more guilt trips. No more working yourself to exhaustion. No more living your life to please others. Imagine a life free from the pressure of doing it all perfectly. You could finally let people in without all that fear and shame weighing you down. You could finally break free to set life on your terms.

I bet you’re having a lot of big feelings right now. I get it. Starting therapy is a big decision. You need a guide who’s been there and can see things from your perspective. I’ve walked the path of healing, so I won’t just point you in the right direction. Instead, I’ll travel the road with you. You deserve to work with a therapist who’s your ideal fit. That's why I’m offering you a free 30-minute "get acquainted" consultation.
