Professional statement

Virginia completed her graduate training in Marriage and Family Therapy with a focus in Expressive Arts Therapy at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. Her sincere hope is that her clients can utilize the therapeutic relationship as a safe, nonjudgemental space to honestly explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences. She works with children, adolescents and adults; as well as couples and families to explore a range of challenges related to relationships, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, addiction and LGBTQ issues.

Virginia takes a collaborative approach to her work and encourages clients to be a full partner in their healing and growth. Virginia aims to support clients to build a deeper sense of self understanding and compassion as they identify strengths and resources. Virginia’s practice is informed by her experience within mindfulness practice and creative arts therapy. She is also a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and offers opportunities to integrate somatic practice into her psychotherapeutic work with clients.

Message to clients

Many clients I work with long for more meaningful connections with themselves, their partners and the world around them. I enjoy supporting people to develop deeper, more authentic relationships with themselves and with the important people in their lives. This may take the form of working through past trauma, exploring unhealthy patterns or navigating transitions in personal identity. My aim is to build a safe and supportive alliance as the foundation of our work together. As a trauma informed practitioner, my hope is to always empower my clients to be an active participant in their therapeutic journey. It is truly an honor to be able to take this journey alongside you.
