Professional statement

Zach, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, empowers adolescents and adults in Cincinnati (and virtually in OH, SC, VT) to navigate life's inevitable challenges and build lasting resilience. Whether you're a young adult facing life transitions, struggling with anxiety or depression, or overwhelmed by stress impacting your performance, Zach helps you understand the interconnectedness of your thoughts, feelings, and actions, unlocking tools to overcome barriers and thrive.

Zach’s approach to therapy blends various therapeutic techniques to best suit your needs, while promoting the mind-body connection through virtual/online and innovative "walk and talk" therapy sessions. He leverages his expertise in EMDR therapy to help you heal from past experiences and unlock your inner strength. Zach cultivates a compassionate and engaging space, fostering collaboration and ensuring you feel safe, heard, and unjudged. One common barrier to wellness described by clients seeking therapy with Zach is feeling "stuck," with this in mind, Zach works with the individual to develop skills to remain present and increasing the ability to accept challenging thoughts, without dwelling on negative possibilities/outcomes to work towards growth.

Specializing in supporting young adults navigating their next steps, he also empowers athletes, first responders, and professionals facing unique stressors to manage pressure and optimize performance. Don't let challenges dictate your story. Contact Zach today for a free consultation and start weaving chapters of growth, resilience, and well-being. Zach meets you where you are, offering an unorthodox, interactive, and personalized experience. Leave your first session feeling empowered to embark on your unique journey towards a brighter future.

Message to clients

I understand that the process of finding a therapist who "gets you" can be a challenging, anxiety provoking, experience for many of us, especially when you have the weight of stress and other aspects of life which are creating the desire to seek out therapy. In an attempt to offset this anxiety, I offer a free, semi-informal, consultation call to allow you to understand me as a human and therapist to make sure that we are a good fit for each other in treatment.

I have adapted the slogan "prepared for anything." To me, this does not mean that I will have all the answers. It means that I have not only completed enough formal studies, however, I have lived enough life to appreciate your journey, and embrace our differences in order to assist you with making lasting changes you are seeking.

My life as an athlete, through the pressures to perform, injuries, and all the other trials involved led me into the world of mental health. Seeing the challenges with overcoming these issues sparked an even greater passion in me towards working with athletes, first responders, and others experiencing stress. These walks of life can feel lonely, and dark, and you may feel like you are staring down a dark tunnel due to the pressure to perform, I want you to know that you are not alone. I offer both in-person (via walk and talk therapy) and online appointments for your comfort and convenience.
