Zachary Pichler is a mental health counselor in Cleveland, Ohio. He works with individuals ages 18-64. Many of Zack’s clients come in to address anxiety, deal with life transitions, managing stress and relationship issues. Zack is particularly passionate about serving members of the LGBTQ+ community, those experiencing life transitions, transgender/non-binary individuals and those struggling with problem gambling. He also has advanced training in the area of problem gambling, depression, anxiety, gender dysphoria, and addictions.
Zack’s training incorporated an eclectic approach and focused on person centered interventions with additional training in Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. This versatile training allows us to tailor your treatment plan to your individual needs and create a safe space to examine your relationship with yourself and others. This can lead to an improvement in your overall well being.
In session, Zack focuses on processing your current concerns and connecting them to your treatment goals. Sometimes this involves collaborating on ways to manage stress or time, practicing assertiveness or even allowing space to express your emotions without fear of judgment or reprisal. .
Zack's style is non-judgmental, affirming, honest and authentic. When clients first start therapy, he will work to understand their past history, their future goals and build a safe space for them to explore their experience freely.
Zack received his Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University. He has previously worked in community mental health agencies that served clients who struggled with both mental health and addiction issues, and completed a portion of his internship in a university counseling center.
Outside of private practice, he enjoys playing video games, spending time with his elderly dog, and learning random skills that interest him.
